THE ORIGIN OF HITTAPOTUMAS

 It was the late 1990s.  I was working as a data entry clerk for an immigration attorney in Edinburg, Texas.

The 9 mile drive from Mission, Texas was a serene one.  Edinburg is a bedroom community and the county seat. Hidalgo County,  Texas.

Roy and I would discuss music. A lot of listen to this. He was a Doors fan who listened to all kinds of musica.

One day I mentioned a hippopotamus and Roy said Hittapotamus.

WE laughed heartily about how it sounded.

I had suggested this year that he get into blogging.

His passing on August 30, 2021 devasted US.

This would have been his blog where WE talk about music.
